Walkin' Buck

See him walkin' down the side of the road
tryin' to loose some kind a mental load, Walkin' Buck

his shoes are clean and his shirts are pressed
you'd never say that he was badly dressed, Walkin' Buck

he's got a far away look in his eyes
so much so its like he wears a disguise, Walkin' Buck

maybe he was a soldier at war
I keep wonderin' what he's lookin' for, Walkin' Buck

I don't know where the time has gone and I don't know if I want to know
but could you tell me if there's hope left in my eye
but Walkin' Buck is still strollin' the streets like the Earth circles 'round the Sun
I think I'll give it one more try

I seen him walkin' all over this town
he doesn't seem to wanna hang around, Walkin' Buck

big moustache and his hair's kinda long
looks like he stepped out of a Seventies song, Walkin' Buck

could it be that he's lost someone dear
and now he don't wanna get too near, Walkin' Buck

the truth is I just gave him that name
I never talked to him - am I to Blame? Walkin' Buck

I don't know where the time has gone and I don't know if I want to know
but could you tell me if there's hope left in my eye
but Walkin' Buck is still strollin' the streets like the Earth circles 'round the Sun
I think I'll give it one more try
