Freak Fest '09
July 23-July 26
Suggested $20 donation per adult, covers camping and music, kids are free. We need everybody to donate $20 so we can pay for the rental equipment.
A weekend of camping and music in southwestern Wisconsin, just out side of Platteville.
Amenities include port-o-johns, an outside shower, the Little Platte River and all the music you can listen to.
You need to provide your own food, so bring a cooler with ice. Try to bring you beverages in cans instead of glass bottles (take note beer drinkers). The local grocery store in Platteville, Dick's Piggly Wiggly, can provide you with all your food shopping needs.
Directions can be down loaded in note pad form here.
Please print and sign this Freak Fest Waiver and bring it with you.
Music will be performed starting Friday in the day and continue Saturday morning through Saturday night with various breaks.
You are welcome to camp Thursday through Saturday night, while Sunday will be wake up, clean up and pack up.

Stuff you should bring: bug repellent, sun screen, cooking pans, small grills, a tent that can withstand a possible heavy rainfall (do not bring a cabin tent!), sleeping bags, coolers, drinks, towels, lawn chairs or blankets, river shoes, hats and wood or charcoal.
Stuff you shouldn't bring: aggressive or dominant dogs, vehicles that cannot drive on a dirt road.
Check this out: Don't bring excessive amounts of food, and please take your garbage to town and put it in a dumpster. Take everything home with you when it's time to leave. This will not be a money making venture and we only need a cash donation to pay for the cost of the rental equipment, so please remember to pay $20. If we can make the money back we can do this again next year.
When you get to the camp site you should park your vehicles on the lowground in a line (this will be obvious once you get there) and pitch your tent on the higher areas. There is a risk of flash flood on the field when it really pours therefore low ground camping is not a good idea. The main camping area will likely be crowded and loud so if you want to be in a more secluded area you should camp up the hill by the cabin, or half way down the dirt road near the pond.
The land is privately owned, roughly 380 acres in a hilly area that has actively farmed fields.
The main camping area is about the size of a football field, although there are other places up in the hills to pitch a tent.
The woods is deep and lush with vegetation and plenty of bugs so hiking is done at your own risk. The main plant to look out for is the stinging nettle, which smarts for 10 minutes after contact.
